Entries shall be made on either an entry form available with the notice of race or downloaded from the web site. The Kestrel Owners' Association 2010 Nationals Entry Form can be download here

ENTRY FEE
The entry fee will be £125.00 per boat if received by 12th July, which includes social tickets for both Helm & Crew. Otherwise a late entry fee of £135.00 will be charged.

Extra social tickets available.
BBQ - £6.00 per head.
Dinner - £15.00 per head.

RACE PROGRAMME
The championship will be a seven race series, with one discard if all seven races are sailed. When more than 4 races are completed there will be one discard allowed for calculation of the yachts series score.

Sunday 25 July - Practice race start 13:00. Sail and boat measurement and registration will take place on Sunday afternoon from 15:00 - 18:00.

Monday 26 July - 2 races - start 11:00 am - high water 16:10

Tuesday 27 July - 2 races - start 11:00 am - high water 16:40

Wednesday 28 July - crew's race - start 11:00 am - 14:30 long distance championship race - high water 17:10

Thursday 29 July - 2 races - start 11:00 am - high water 17:50

Friday 30 July - spare day - will only be used for racing if races are lost earlier in the programme.

Depending on the level of interest, rescue cover will be provided for a downriver cruise in company with a picnic lunch on the Abertay Sands. Departure time will be published on Thursday but is likely to be 11:00, which should allow for a one hour sail down river and 40 minutes on the sand. High water is 18:20.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME

Competitors and their families will be temporary members of the RTYC for the duration of the event. The RTYC main clubrooms and bar will be open every day from 11:00 to 23:00.

Saturday 24 July - Royal Tay Yacht Club will be happy to welcome campers and visitors from this date. Competitors will be able to register on the beach clubhouse between 15:00 and 17:00. Bar meals available from 17:00.

Sunday 25 July - Sail measurement and registration between 15:00 and 18:30. Bar meals will be available in the main clubrooms from 17:00. There will be a Commodore's reception and welcome briefing for competitors at 20:00 hours in the Yacht Club. This will incluse a finger buffet

Monday 26 July - Bar meals available from 17:00. Barbecue from 19:30 on the terrace followed by daily prize-giving at 21:00 hours.

Tuesday 27 July - Bar meals from 17:00. Kestrel Championship cocktail party for helms & crews hosted by Jean Elvidge at 18:30 to 20:00. Daily prize-giving at 21:00 hours in the clubrooms.

Wednesday 28 July - Bar meals available from 17:00. Ceilidh (extra tickets £6 per person) starts at 20:00 with The Haggis (including neaps and tatties) at 20:45, followed by the prize-giving at 21:00 hours, whisky tasting and dancing till 23:00.

Thursday 29 July - Championship prize-giving on the Terrace at 19:00 followed by the Championship dinner in the main clubroom at 20:00.

The theme for the dinner will pick up the 125th anniversary of the Royal Tay Yacht Club "Blast from the Past".

Friday 30 July - If this day is required for racing, the prize-giving for the championship will take place on the Terrace one-and-a-half hours after the last boat finishes the last race. The Yacht Club will be open for an informal social evening and quiz night for competitors who have remained and may have taken part in the cruise in company.

There will be fine dining available in the dining room but places will be limited and should be booked in advance. (Three course dinner £15 per person)

ACCOMMODATION

There is space for camper vans in the car park by the Grassy Beach.

Limited camping is available within the Yacht Club gardens.

A range of hotels, B&B's and other accommodation is available within the locality and for those wishing it, the Kestrel Class and sailing members of the RTYC are offering home stays for a donation to the Tay Sail Training Association.

BOAT STORAGE

Secure boat storage will be available for competitors before or after the event for those wishing to leave their boat and holiday in Scotland.
