Leave the A14 onto A137 at Junction 56.

Turn left at top of slip road sign posted Ipswich Docks.

Next roundabout turn right sign posted B1456 Shotley.

Through the village of Freston. Turn right onto the B1080 sign posted Holbrook. Turning on a sharp left hand bend.

Through the village of Holbrook and past the Royal Hospital School. (Blue sign on the left side with identical style of houses on both sides).

Just after village signs of Stutton, the entrance to Alton water is on the right marked by large brown signs on the left side of road. Enter and follow road. Turn left to the facilities after left hand bend.
